FOREMAN - Mrs. Jean Foreman, aged 96 years, of Bethamni Nursing Home and formerly 129 Prospect Ave., died at her residency August 5, 1983. Born in Buckingham, Que., she had resided here since 1910. She was a life member of Port Arthur Ladies Curling Club, Past Noble Grand, Amethyst Rebecca Lodge, member of Khoran Zuanas, Canadians Daughter’s League, Port Arthur Senior Citizen Club and St. Paul’s United Church U.C.W. She is survived by son, William, Westmount Hospital, 2 daughters, Mary, Mrs. W.J. Saari, 188 N. High St., and Nancy, Mrs Paul Johnson, 310-405 Waverly St., 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and sister Mrs. Jessie Crutchfield, Montreal. She was predeceased by her husband Eames, 1949, son John 1945, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 8th at 1:45 p.m. in the Sargent and Son Funeral Chapel by Rev. R.A. Peden, D.D. Internment in Riverside Cemetery. The Canadian Daughters will hold a service in the Sargent Chapel Sunday at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Amethyst Rebecca Lodge at 8:00 p.m. Donations to the Ontario Heart Foundation or the St. Joseph’s Heritage would be appreciated. |
