| Text | Published in Home News Tribune from January 31 to February 2, 2013 Norva L. Scott AGE: 87 • Rahway Norva L. Scott, 87, passed away on Jan. 28, 2013 at Clark Nursing and Rehabilitation Home. Born in Manhattan, New York to the late William Gittens and Edith (Smith) Gittens, Norva lived in the Bronx NY, Red Bank, Newark and Colonia NJ. After her retirement from the family business, Highway Forklift in Avenel NJ, Norva moved to Texas for 10 years. She returned to Pennsylvania to be closer to her children and grand kids. Upon the passing of her beloved husband, Wilson B. Scott, in 2007, she went on to live in Rahway NJ, and made her final move to Clark Nursing and Rehabilitation Home. Norva loved to bowl, and was always on a bowling team, no matter where she lived. She enjoyed social gatherings, travelling, music and dance. She is survived by her children Carroll, Ronald and wife Dorothy, Barbara Hare and husband Leroy and Kevin; grandchildren Tunisia and Daron Scott, Karyna and Janea Scott, Malinda Gerard and husband Frenchie, Robert Lee and wife Nicole, Lamar Lee, Kobie Powell and wife Gina, her brother Robert Gittens and wife Valarie. Brother-in-law: Carroll Scott and wife Lucy, and Sister-in-Law: Enid Gittens and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Saturday, Feb. 2nd beginning at 9:00am. Funeral Service will follow at 10:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
