| Text | Work done by Harold Hart, Source Quality: 3 . E-mail June 23, 2009 Cliff, thanks for the new wills. I have a few comments for you: Firsta correction; it now seems to me that the Nathaniel who married Elizabeth Leslie was the son of Nathaniel who made his will in 1752, not the son of Samuel, as I had assumed- see the will of Nathaniel senior. It is clear from Nathaniel's will that his son only had one child , a daughter, Elizabeth. This is important for another reason: I thought that Nathaniel and Elizabeth may have been the parents or grandparents of some of the other ' unconnected ' Gittens, but I now no longer believe this. A separate point: There is no mention of Isaac Gittens, son of Isaac, in the 1715 Census; nor are his children and wife mentioned. I see no further mention of them in the Barbados records, so in my mind, I have ruled them out as candidates for being parents of our ' unconnected ' Gittens. More later. Got to run; tennis becons!
