Was doing some background research on my Grandfather and found both he E.C. Dowler, and my father, Lieutenant E.C. Dowler listed in your "Gittens One-Name Study". I am his oldest son, and I am trying to figure out how the two names are related. Could you clarify?
Just for your records the last rank Dad held prior to his retirement was Major, not Lieutenant.
