She was my great grandmother, married to Barker Barrow Gittens. I thought that she died in 1947, but I was little then, and could be wrong. She is buried in Lafayette, CA.
Are we related? My grandfather was Edmund Julian Gittens.

Hello Barbara,
First, let me apologize for the length in delay in replying to your Sep 27th email. Genealogy is my hobby, and seems to always get put on the bottom of the "get to it" pile, due to other priorities.
You asked "Are we related?". The short answer is that I'm not sure. My genealogy research only traces your family line back to a John Gittens and Mary (Unknown) who were both born around 1750. I hit a road block in going back any further, as I couldn't find the parents of John Gittens.
Was your father Edmund Donald Gittens?
