The photograph was taken in 1921 on the Hastings Rocks - a sort of enclosed promenade on the sea, with benches and a Victorian Band Stand, where the Police Band gave concerts once a month. Ideal for children. How do you like the dresses and hats. Left background is the Band Stand and the right background is the sea. (Paul Foster sent picture July 28, 2010)
