  • Notes
    • Name: Robert Ledgwick /Gittens/ [5]
    • (Research):The connection of Robert Sedgwick to his brothers Joseph and Joshua was made by Harold Hart in his July 13, 2009 e-mail through Robert Sedgwick's will.

The connection seems quite solid and I have amended my database accordingly. CCG

      Harold further notes:
Attached please find my latest version of Col. The Hon. John Gittens Esq.
Please note the connection to Robert Sedgwick Gittens, who I think is his son from his first marriage. I meant to send you this last time but through a quirk in my programme it did not happen. My reason for assuming he is the son of Col. John flows from the names in Robert's Will. If I am correct it opens up an opportunity to tie in the John Hamlet Gittens group also, because the name Robert Segwick Gittens shows up as a grandson of Hon. Joshua Gittens Esq., son of John Hamlet Gittens and Margaret Archer. My hunch is that this John Hamlet Gittens is likely the son of Joshua Gittens and Dorothy Blackman.
Let me know what you think
