- Langley Times, JOHNSON - Nancy Helen passed away In Langley Memorial Hospital, Monday, June 28, 1993. She is survived by her loving husband Paul: 2 daughters, Janet (Brian) Phillips, Donna (Cliff) Gittens; and 5 grandchildren. Sara, Michael Gittens, Paula, Robyn and Dale Phillips; 1 sister, Mary Saari and brother, Bill Foreman of Thunder Bay; as well as many friends in Surrey, and a life time of friends in Thunder Bay. Funeral services to be held, Friday, July 2nd, 1993 at 1:00 p.m. at Henderson's Langley Funeral Home 20786 Fraser HWY. Flowers welcome or donations may be made to the Cancer Society or Palliative Care Unit in Langley Memorial Hospital.

"A cloudless sky was the happy augury of the wedding of Miss JanetLeslie Devenny on Tuesday of this week. Miss Devenny, who is theeldest daughter of John Devenny of this place was wedded to Mr. EamesNewton Foreman of Port Arthur, son of Geo. Foreman of Grenville,Quebec The bride's home was prettily decorated for the occasion. Undera beautiful wedding bell the young couple were united in wedlock bythe Rev. W.F. Crawford assisted by the Rev. Dr. R. Laing uncle of thebride. After happy congratulations all partook of the many good thingsprovided for the festal occasion. The Rev. Dr. Laing in a neat andwitty speech proposed the toast to the bride and groom. The Rev. W. F.Crawford also humorously wished the young couple bon voyage.
