She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe Herring; her sons Jose , Robert and Danilo Herring; her daughters Debra, Gina and Donna Herring; her brother, Changy Gittens Jr. and her grandson Alphonso Williams.
Ms. Herring was married to Joe Herring on August 14, 1961 in the Republic of Panama. There were six children born to this union.
Ms. Herring enjoyed crossword puzzles, her work as a volunteer at Kingdom Hall where she was a member. Her true passion was her family and cooking for family gatherings, she was an incredible hostess and welcomed all into her home.
A visitation and service has been set for Saturday, November 19 at Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors, 1104 S. Circle Drive. The visitation will start at 9:00 am followed by a service at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery following the services.
The family requests that memorial donations be sent to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care at 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, Colorado Springs, CO. 80905
