Gittens. After a wedding supper at the Lasalle Hotel the couple left on their wedding trip to vancouver and Winnipeg Manitoba. They willl reside in Outremount.

They were married 23 June 1943, so I imagine it was taken about that time. Irene would probably be able to tell you the exact time. Irene was born 22 June 1916 in Antigonish. She now lives in Pictou, NS. She is the 3rd child or Lillian Crittenden (Aunt Lil – Uncle Les’ sister) and Aubrey Charles Williams. She is a sweetheart and we love her very much. David Crittenden.

Next to him is his mother, Ella Lavinia (Whitman) Crittenden, next two people I do not know, the woman on the end is Aunt Lil (Lillian (Crittenden) Williams. I don’t know when picture was taken. That’s the Strait of Canso in the background behind Aunt Lil, and the house in the background is Aunt May and Uncle Jack’s. It was next door to my grandma Crittenden (Ella Lavinia). Aunt May, was your grandfather’s older sister. Her full name was Jenny May Crittenden, born 4 Nov. 1882, in Port Mulgrave, died June 1952, Springhill, NS. Her husband name was John Alexander Byers, born 27 Nov. 1876, Steep Creek, Guys. Co., died June 1959, Baddeck, Cape Breton. They were married 25 Dec. 1901, in Mulgrave. They are both buried in Trinity United Church cemetery in Mulgrave.
