John "Jack" D. Adriaenssens, 75, Green Bay resident, died peacefully in the arms of his loving wife on Thursday afternoon, December 24, 2010 at a local hospital. He was born on Dec. 29, 1934 in Green Bay. On Oct. 14, 1997, he married Pat Jonet on Roseman Bridge in Winterset, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Korean Conflict. Jack was employed as a Police Officer for the city of Green Bay for 30 years. He was an avid golfer and loved playing cribbage every Thursday with his friend Brad Roberts. Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and also his 2 basset hounds, Sophie and Copper and his favorite Cat, Bootsa. Jack was known for having a big heart and always enjoyed being a jokester.
He is survived by his wife Pat (nee Jonet); children, Jill (fiancé, Michael Borkowski) Brietzman, Jay Adriaenssens and Jodi Adriaenssens; step-children, Sue (Julian) Hernandez, Steve Jadin and Michelle (Stan) Knight; grandchildren, Lindsay Brietzman, Alyson Brietzman, Ashlay Brietzman, Logan Ravey, Nicole Adriaenssens, Taylor Adriaenssens, Dani Adriaenssens, Jayme Adriaenssens, Jordin Adriaenssens, Branyne Adriaenssens and Jayce Adriaenssens; step-grandchildren, Dayna Ronsman, Chris Ronsman, John Hernandez , Loryn Jadin and Brooke Jadin; great granddaughter, Daylin Brietzman; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Gittens.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
